Overview
The Ceiling CMP-48 is an alloy steel pull-up bar rated to 450 pounds, weighing about 5.26 kilograms, finished in white and black.
As the name and mounting style suggest, this is a ceiling mounted bar rather than a doorway or wall unit, so it needs joist access and enough ceiling height clearance rather than a door frame.
- 450 pound weight rating
- Alloy steel build
- About 5.26 kilogram weight
- White and black finish
Who it's for
Fits anyone with a garage, basement or dedicated space where mounting to the ceiling joists is possible. Not a fit for renters or anyone wanting a removable doorway bar, since ceiling mounting is typically a permanent installation.
Pros and cons
- Rated to 450 pounds
- Alloy steel construction
- Permanent ceiling mount avoids doorway frame stress
- Requires joist access for mounting
- Not portable or removable like a doorway bar
Performance notes
Alloy steel construction backs the 450 pound weight rating, and because it mounts to the ceiling rather than a door frame, it avoids the frame stress that doorway bars can put on wood trim.
