Overview
An outdoor photographer gets a DSLR body and kit lens that are both sealed against weather, dust and cold. Stabilization moves the sensor, so every attached lens is steadied, and WiFi sends photos to a phone.
Hikers and travelers can shoot in rain and dust without a cover, with every lens stabilized by the body. Its video and autofocus are basic, which suits stills more than moving subjects or film work.
Who it's for
Landscape, travel and hiking photographers who want an optical viewfinder suit this kit. Vloggers and action shooters need stronger video and autofocus.
Pros and cons
- Weather sealed body and kit lens
- In-body stabilization for all lenses
- Swing out screen and selfie button
- Built-in WiFi with a connect button
- Full HD video only
- Few autofocus points
- Slow kit lens aperture
Performance notes
Sharpness gains from the sensor without an anti-aliasing filter, while sensor-shift stabilization steadies handheld shots. The modest autofocus point count and slow kit lens limit fast action and low light work.
