Overview
Yost's COV-3 is a clamp measuring 9 by 6 by 3 inches, a footprint that points to bench-top jobs rather than large panel glue-ups.
With no capacity or clamping force listed, the footprint is the most reliable data point here. That size fits small workshop tasks and storage in a tool box more comfortably than it fits wide panel work.
- Compact clamp
- 9 by 6 by 3 inch footprint
- From Yost
- Sized for bench-top jobs
Who it's for
Hobbyists and light workshop users needing a compact clamp for small parts. Not suited to cabinet or panel glue-ups that need a longer reach.
Pros and cons
- Compact footprint stores easily
- Small size suits tight bench-top work
- No clamping force or throat depth listed
- Dimensions alone don't confirm capacity for larger stock
Performance notes
Clamp usefulness comes down to throat depth and clamping force, neither of which appears in the listed specs. What is known is the 9 by 6 by 3 inch footprint, which is small enough for tight bench spaces and easy storage.
