Overview
The Brita OB24/OB06 is a 27 cup water dispenser rather than a small pour-through pitcher, using an activated carbon filter and countertop spigot design for households that go through filtered water quickly.
At 14.57 by 11.18 by 5.63 inches it is sized for a counter or a wide fridge shelf, not a narrow door bin, and the polystyrene dispenser body needs no plumbing to install. The high 27 cup capacity means fewer refills for a larger household compared to a standard pitcher.
- 27 cup capacity
- Activated carbon filtration
- Countertop spigot dispenser
- 3 lb unit weight
Who it's for
Fits households or offices that want a large stock of filtered water on hand without under-sink filtration. Less suited to single users or small fridges without room for a wide dispenser.
Pros and cons
- 27 cup capacity means fewer refills for larger households
- Spigot dispenser needs no plumbing
- Activated carbon filtration for taste and odor
- 14.57 x 11.18 x 5.63 inch footprint needs real counter or fridge space
- Filter cartridges are a separate ongoing cost
Performance notes
The activated carbon filter works by adsorbing chlorine taste and odor as water passes through, with the spigot dispensing without needing to lift or tilt the whole unit. Filter cartridges are a separate, ongoing purchase since the unit itself does not include a lifetime supply.
