Overview
A thermostat controlling the burner is the working part of this black freestanding stove, which needs no flue or chimney. The cabinet is alloy steel and cast iron, and the unit takes natural gas or propane.
The rated output and coverage suit a larger room, and high efficiency is listed. As with other vent-free units, local regulations decide where it can go.
Who it's for
Owners with a larger living space and a gas supply who want a freestanding vent-free heater with a thermostat. Anyone in an area restricting vent-free units, or wanting remote operation, needs another style.
Pros and cons
- Higher heat output
- Vent free, no chimney
- Natural gas or propane
- Alloy steel and cast iron build
- No millivolt remote support
- Heavy for moving
- Warranty terms vague
Performance notes
The thermostat cycles the burner to hold a set room temperature, and the cast iron and alloy steel body radiates heat into the room. Vent-free design releases combustion products into the room, so clearance and local rules matter. Propane needs a large tank and a two-stage regulator.
