More from this brandAll Kegco kegeratorsOverview
Four ball lock kegs, four faucets, one purchase: the Kegco HBK1XB-4 bundles a homebrew kegerator cabinet with a complete CO2 tank, regulator and dispense kit.
It is built strictly for ball lock homebrew kegs, so anyone expecting to tap a commercial keg picked up from a distributor will need a different coupler.
- Four ball lock keg coupler sets plus CO2 tank and regulator
- Stainless steel T-style four faucet draft tower
- 1/7 hp compressor, manual 33-41F temperature dial
- Built-in drip tray and locking self-closing door
Who it's for
Homebrewers kegging their own beer in ball lock kegs get real value here. Anyone planning to tap standard commercial D-system kegs needs a different unit.
Pros and cons
- Complete four-faucet dispense kit included, not sold separately
- Comparable parts quality to buying commercial components individually
- 4 inch locking casters for mobility
- Compressor and cooling fan run at commercial-grade noise levels
- No stated way to switch the display between Fahrenheit and Celsius
- Faucet handles sit close together and can catch on each other
- Ball lock couplers only, will not tap commercial D-system kegs
Performance notes
Cooling comes from a 1/7 hp compressor with fan-forced airflow and a blower hose that pushes cold air up into the draft tower, keeping beer lines chilled to the faucets; a manual dial adjusts between 33 and 41 degrees Fahrenheit. One reviewer who has installed higher-end commercial kegerators called the included parts, four ball lock keg couplers, the CO2 tank, regulator and air distributor, on par with buying professional gear piece by piece, at a fraction of the cost.
