Overview
PROIRON's PRKCAS20K packs 20 kilograms of cast iron into a 19 piece dumbbell set, giving home lifters plate loaded weight without buying a full rack of fixed dumbbells.
The 19 piece count next to a 20 kilogram total weight points to a plate loaded set built from handles, plates and collars rather than one fixed weight dumbbell. Cast iron is the traditional material for this kind of set and holds up under repeated use, though it can show surface rust if stored somewhere damp.
- 20 kilogram total weight
- 19 piece set
- Cast iron construction
- Black finish
Who it's for
Home lifters who want to build a small plate loaded dumbbell set without a full rack of fixed weights. Not aimed at commercial gyms needing rubber coated equipment.
Pros and cons
- Adjustable loading across 19 pieces
- Cast iron construction holds up to heavy use
- 20 kilogram total suits progressive training
- Uncoated iron can mark floors and rust if damp
- Swapping plates takes more setup than fixed dumbbells
Performance notes
Cast iron plates and handles let you change load by adding or removing plates, which suits progressive strength training better than fixed weight dumbbells. Uncoated cast iron is durable but can mark flooring and will rust without a dry storage spot.
