Overview
A small kitchen or a quick side dish on the stove is the setting for the Prestige Deluxe Alpha pressure handi. The stainless steel pot takes a locking lid for pressure cooking and a separate glass lid, and its Alpha base works on induction.
Two lids give flexibility: pressure cook with the locking lid, then switch to glass to simmer and watch. The small capacity limits it to small batches, and the listing gives no pressure rating.
Who it's for
Small batches on an induction hob are its job, with the glass lid for watching food simmer. Larger households will outgrow it quickly.
Pros and cons
- Induction compatible Alpha base
- Glass lid plus pressure lid
- Stainless steel body
- Small capacity for one pot meals
- Pressure rating not listed
- Stovetop only, no timer or presets
Performance notes
Sealing the locking lid traps steam, which raises the temperature inside so food cooks faster than in an open pot. The indicator shows when pressure has built, so the cook knows when to lower the heat. The glass lid turns it into an ordinary covered pot for simmering.
