Overview
A bedroom or secondary room gets a small, wall-mountable satellite receiver built for an existing Dish Network system. It works quietly with an RF remote that needs no external antenna, and it decodes the incoming Dish signal for direct display on a connected TV.
This receiver fits neatly into a secondary room where a compact, quiet box matters more than extra inputs, since Dish Network handles the rest of the setup. It only works within an existing Dish Network subscription and hardware chain, so it cannot pull in channels on its own. Buyers outside Dish Network's service have no use for this unit.
Who it's for
Households adding a bedroom or guest room to an existing Dish Network account fit this receiver's size and quiet operation. Renters or owners wanting a low profile wall mounted box also suit it well. Anyone without a Dish Network subscription cannot use this receiver at all.
Pros and cons
- Wall mountable, compact bedroom footprint
- RF remote needs no external antenna
- Outputs 1080p over a 16:9 signal
- Runs quietly during regular use
- Works only with Dish Network service
- No listed HDMI or component cable included
- Audio format limited to MP3 per listing
Performance notes
The receiver decodes the incoming Dish Network satellite signal using DVB-S2 and H.265 standards, then outputs a 1080p picture over its video connection. Because it uses RF for the remote link, it can pick up commands without a direct line of sight to the box. Its compact chassis is designed to mount flat against a wall rather than sit on a shelf.
