Overview
8.5 inch stainless steel fishing pliers from Rapala's Salt Angler line, built with an integrated side cutter and soft-grip handles for rigging, hook removal and line trimming in fresh or saltwater.
The stainless steel build is aimed specifically at saltwater exposure and corrosion resistance rather than being a general-purpose plier, and the built-in side cutter means one tool covers both cutting and gripping tasks on the water.
- 8.5 inch stainless steel body
- Integrated side cutter
- Soft-grip ergonomic handles
- Built for fresh and saltwater use
Who it's for
Anglers who fish saltwater or humid conditions and want a corrosion-resistant tool for hook removal and line cutting. Not the pick for anyone wanting a locking or spring-loaded mechanism, which isn't part of this design.
Pros and cons
- Stainless steel construction suited to saltwater exposure
- Built-in side cutter avoids carrying a separate line cutter
- Soft-grip handles aid control in wet conditions
Performance notes
The stainless steel body is built to resist corrosion from marine exposure, the integrated side cutter trims line and leaders without needing a separate tool, and the soft-grip handles are meant to improve control when hands are wet.
