Overview
Not a round skillet, the All-Clad square griddle gives a broad flat surface with low walls so a spatula slides under pancakes easily. Heavy aluminum spreads heat, and a three layer nonstick coating releases eggs and batter.
More flat space than a round pan of similar size makes it efficient for breakfast batches. Induction owners cannot use it, and hand washing protects the coating longer.
Who it's for
Suited to households making breakfast batches on gas or electric stoves. Induction kitchens need a compatible griddle.
Pros and cons
- Square shape adds cooking space
- Low walls for easy flipping
- High oven limit
- Riveted stainless handle
- Not induction compatible
- Needs soft utensils
- Care advice mixed in listing
Performance notes
Even browning comes from heavy gauge aluminum spreading heat to the corners. The nonstick layers release food without much oil. Using silicone, nylon or wood utensils and hand washing extends coating life.
