Overview
In a bedroom rig or on a gigging board, the Pure Sky is a clean-leaning overdrive and clean boost in a full metal case, with a stomp switch and a DC power jack.
The reason to buy is the range from a pristine clean to a smooth compressed overdrive on just two controls, in a metal case. The limit is the separate power supply requirement and a current draw the listing gives without explanation.
Who it's for
A player building a board around a clean, amp-friendly drive with only volume and gain to set. A buyer who wants a bundled supply or a name-brand original should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Clean boost to hard rock range
- Volume and gain controls
- Full metal case
- Sturdy stomp switch
- Power supply not included
- Item type line mislabeled
- Described as a clone design
Performance notes
The description says the pedal provides a pristine clean to a smooth, compressed overdrive, and that it sustains the original timbre from the amplifier. The two controls take it from clean to hard rock. True bypass minimizes tone loss when the pedal is off.
