Overview
Playing hand percussion with an artist-signature voice is the aim of this Latin Percussion bongo pair, named for Raul Rekow. The shells are New Zealand pine with a satin chrome finish listed, and the drums travel in the included Signature Series bag.
A named artist model with pine shells and a bag in the box makes this pair easy to grab for gigs. The listing is thin, though, with no head sizes, shell depths or tonal notes to weigh.
Who it's for
Percussionists adding a signature-series pair to a Latin or acoustic setup are served well here. Shoppers who compare drums by diameter will find the page too sparse.
Pros and cons
- Raul Rekow signature design
- Signature Series bag included
- Multi-year limited manufacturer warranty
- Pine shells with satin chrome finish
- Head sizes and shell depths not listed
- Color conflicts: black title, walnut spec
- Listed dimensions look like placeholder values
- Seller description is only a part number
Performance notes
Pine shells and the drum heads set the tone, while the tension hardware decides how high each drum can be tuned. With no head sizes given, the pitch range cannot be predicted from the page, so tuning by ear after setup governs the result.
