Overview
Paper Mate gives these Clearpoint pencils a side button that advances the lead with a click, plus a twist-up eraser at the top. Black round barrels and a grip with texture make them easy to hold for longer sessions.
A medium lead width and HB hardness cover everyday notes and drafting lines. Four in a pack means spares for a bag and a desk. The limit is that lead fill is not described, so extra refills may be needed early.
Who it's for
Students, teens and adults who write by hand at home or in class will find the grip comfortable and the eraser easy to use. A pack of four spreads across bags and desks. Fine technical drawing needs a thinner lead.
Pros and cons
- Click advance on the barrel
- Jumbo twist-up eraser
- Soft textured grip
- Works for either hand
- Lead fill not stated
- Medium line, not fine
Performance notes
A press on the side button pushes the lead forward, so the writing hand does not need to move. The eraser twists up as it wears and removes marks without tearing. Medium lead width gives a line that is visible and resists snapping under normal pressure.
