A steel-framed recliner with a wide recline range and rocking mode that works about as well at a desk as it does in front of a console, provided fixed armrests are not a dealbreaker.

Overview
The Homall VCH-81 is a faux leather gaming chair rated for 300 lb, with a recline range of 90 to 155 degrees plus a rocking mode. A 1.8 mm steel frame and Class 3 gas lift carry the load, and it swivels a full 360 degrees on its casters.
It is built to double as both a console gaming chair and a desk chair, with a tall backrest and roomy seat aimed at bigger-framed adults. The armrests are fixed rather than height adjustable, which is worth knowing before comparing it to pricier office chairs.
- 90 to 155 degree recline with rocking
- Removable headrest and lumbar pillow
- Seat height adjusts 17.3 to 21.5 in
- 300 lb weight capacity
Who it's for
People who want one chair for console sessions, desk work, and video calls without buying separate seating. Less suited to anyone who specifically wants adjustable armrests or genuine leather upholstery.
Pros and cons
- Recline range covers upright work to near-flat lounging
- Tall backrest and roomy seat suit bigger frames
- Steel frame and gas lift rated to 300 lb
- Rocking mode via an underseat knob
- Armrests are fixed, not height adjustable
- Faux leather rather than genuine leather
Performance notes
The steel frame and Class 3 gas lift are what carry the 300 lb rating rather than the plastic bases common on cheaper chairs, and the recline hinge is what allows the 90 to 155 degree range plus a rocking motion triggered by a knob under the seat. Seat height adjusts from 17.3 to 21.5 inches, which covers most standard desks.
