Overview
The PUR PPT111W is a plastic water filter pitcher weighing about 2.3 pounds, sold as a single unit. It fits households that want filtered drinking water stored in the refrigerator rather than a permanent under-sink or faucet-mounted system.
As a pitcher rather than a plumbed system, the PPT111W trades installation for portability. It needs no tools or water line access, just a refill and a slot in the fridge door or on a shelf. PUR sells filter cartridges separately for ongoing use, since the pitcher itself is a one-time purchase of the housing.
- Plastic pitcher construction
- 2.3 lb weight
- Single unit, no install
- PUR brand filtration
Who it's for
Fits renters, apartment dwellers, or anyone who wants filtered water without modifying a faucet or sink. Not the right pick for a household that wants filtered water on tap at higher volume without refilling.
Pros and cons
- No installation required
- Lightweight at 2.3 lb
- Fits standard refrigerator shelves
- Replacement cartridges are a recurring separate cost
- Lower capacity than a plumbed system
Performance notes
Filtration quality depends on the PUR cartridge installed inside, which is a separate consumable rather than part of this listing's specs. The pitcher itself is plastic and light at 2.3 pounds, easy to lift and pour one handed.
