Overview
The Essenza Mini is De'Longhi's smallest Nespresso Original capsule machine, built for kitchens or offices with little counter space rather than for large batches of coffee. It runs on 1150 watts and offers two programmable cup sizes for an espresso shot or a longer pour at the press of a button.
This is a single-serve pod machine, not a bean-to-cup unit, so flavor comes from whichever Nespresso Original capsule you load rather than from grind or roast choices you control. The appeal is footprint and simplicity: two buttons set your cup volume once, and you repeat it every morning after. It ships in black, with the same body sold in other colors for anyone matching a kitchen scheme.
- 1150 watt pump for quick heat-up
- Two programmable cup sizes
- Nespresso Original capsule system
- Compact body, available in black
Who it's for
Fits a single person or a couple who already buy Nespresso Original capsules and want a compact machine that will not dominate a small counter. Less suited to a household that wants to grind fresh beans or serve several cups at once.
Pros and cons
- Small footprint for tight counters
- Two programmable cup size buttons
- Simple one-button daily operation
- Works only with Nespresso Original capsules
- No control over grind or roast
Performance notes
The machine uses a pump to force hot water through a sealed Nespresso capsule, so shot quality depends mostly on which capsule you choose rather than on any setting on the machine itself. The two programmable buttons store your preferred water volume for espresso and lungo pours, so once set, the daily routine is just insert a capsule and press a button.

Frequently asked questions

It is built for the Nespresso Original capsule line, the same format used across De'Longhi's Essenza series.

Yes, it has two programmable buttons so you can set and repeat both an espresso pour and a longer lungo pour.
How much counter space does the EN85B need?
De'Longhi markets it as its most compact Nespresso machine, so it is built for small kitchens or offices rather than large brewing stations.
