Overview
This 14-piece dumbbell set from Amazon's own IR92098-38LB line is made of alloy steel, with a combined weight of about 17.2 kilograms, close to the 38 pounds in its name, in black.
Fourteen pieces points to a set built from handles, plates and collars rather than a single fixed pair, letting the total load be split or adjusted across two dumbbells.
- 14-piece alloy steel dumbbell set
- About 17.2 kilograms combined weight
- Black finish
Who it's for
Suits home lifters who want a steel dumbbell set covering a range of loads without buying separate fixed pairs. Not the pick for anyone who specifically wants two large fixed-weight dumbbells rather than a build-your-own plate set.
Pros and cons
- Alloy steel construction
- 14-piece set allows load changes without new equipment
- Not a pair of fixed, single-weight dumbbells
Performance notes
Alloy steel plates and handles hold up to repeated loading and unloading, and splitting the roughly 38 pound total across 14 pieces means the working weight per dumbbell can be changed by swapping plates rather than buying new equipment.
