Overview
The Trijicon RMR Type 2 in 1 MOA (model RM09-C-700742) is a handgun red dot sight with automatic and manual LED brightness, a forged aluminum housing, and a battery conservation mode rated at 16.5 hours.
It offers eight brightness settings including two night vision and one super-bright mode, with a button lockout to prevent accidental changes. The patented housing shape is built to direct impact force away from the lens rather than through it. This is the 1 MOA dot version rather than the wider 3.25 MOA RM06 variant.
- 1 MOA dot in the Type 2 RMR housing (model RM09-C-700742)
- 8 brightness settings: auto, 2 night vision, 1 super bright
- Forged aluminum housing directs impact away from the lens
- Battery conservation mode engages after 16.5 hours
Who it's for
Built for pistol shooters, hunters and duty use who want a rugged reflex sight rather than a budget red dot.
Pros and cons
- Premium price compared to other pistol red dots
- Counterfeit risk reported with used or third-party units
- One buyer found the auto-brightness dot blurry indoors
Performance notes
Automatic brightness adjusts the dot to ambient light and drops into a conservation mode after 16.5 hours to save battery, though at least one reviewer found the auto-brightness dot blurry indoors under artificial light while sharp outdoors.
