Overview
Home coffee lovers who want cafe drinks without learning to tamp and steam get a touchscreen machine that automates each stage. You select a drink on the screen, the machine pulls the shot, and an automatic steam wand textures the milk.
Automation reaches the milk as well as the shot, so lattes and flat whites come out textured without hand steaming, and favorite settings are saved by name. Size and weight are the limits: it needs a deep counter and is not a machine to move around.
Who it's for
Daily latte and cappuccino drinkers who share a machine and want each person's drink saved get the most from the touchscreen. Cooks who want to learn manual technique, or who lack a large stretch of counter, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Touchscreen menu covers five classic drinks
- Automatic steam wand textures milk
- Saves personalized drinks with names and pictures
- Adjustable strength, milk texture and temperature
- Heavy, hard to move once placed
- Takes a large share of counter space
- Pump pressure not listed
- Single wall baskets only
Performance notes
Shot quality is governed by grind, dose and water temperature, which the machine handles once a drink is set up, so consistency comes from saved profiles instead of barista skill. Milk results depend on the automatic steam wand drawing air into the milk at the chosen texture and temperature. Filtered water and regular use of the cleaning kit protect the machine over time.
