Fun for kids and easy for them to operate, but slow to heat and prone to finishing pale rather than golden, so set expectations for the cooking results rather than the novelty.

Licensed by Emoji, the CucinaPro Smiley Face waffle and pancake maker swaps between heart-eyes and silly-face plates across 4 interchangeable 8 inch inserts, aimed squarely at kids' breakfasts.
Cooking speed and browning came up as the recurring weak points, with more than one reviewer noting it stays pale rather than turning golden.
- 4 removable plates, 2 interchangeable face designs
- Adjustable temperature control
- Makes waffles or pancakes
- Licensed by Emoji
Who it's for
Parents looking for a fun, kid-operated breakfast gift where the novelty shape matters more than deep browning or speed. Not the right pick if you want quick, evenly browned waffles or pancakes on a tight morning schedule.
Pros and cons
- Kids can operate it with minimal help
- Cooks evenly once fully heated
- 4 swappable plates for two face designs
- Nonstick surface wipes clean easily
- Slow to heat up before first use
- Doesn't brown food much beyond pale yellow
- Exterior gets very hot during use
Performance notes
Even once hot, multiple owners said it tends to stop at a pale yellow rather than developing a golden-brown finish, and batter must be measured carefully since the plates clamp down tightly.

Frequently asked questions
Does the CucinaPro emoji maker brown waffles well?
Not deeply.
Is it safe for a child to use?
One reviewer had an 11-year-old operating it without trouble, though the exterior does get very hot during cooking and should be handled with that in mind.
