Overview
The Asocea Fishing Fighting Waist Belt is a gimbal-style rod holder that straps around the waist to brace a rod butt while fighting a fish, with an adjustable 27.5 to 41 inch waistband and a foam pad to spread the load. It suits surf, boat and rock anglers who need both hands free to work the reel against a big fish.
The rod-holder cup has a 2.5 inch inner diameter sized for most standard rod butts, and the ABS gimbal locks the rod in place with a stainless pin so it will not spin under load. One reviewer's caution is useful for sizing: it runs smaller than expected, and anyone targeting genuinely large fish should consider a bigger belt that extends coverage to the thighs.
- Adjustable waist range 27.5 to 41 inches
- 2.5 inch inner diameter rod holder cup
- 0.3 inch foam back pad
- Stainless steel locking pin, quick-release buckle
Who it's for
Anglers who fight fish from a standing position, whether surf, rock or boat fishing, and want a low-cost belt to brace the rod and protect the waist. Anglers targeting large game fish that need thigh support should look at a larger belt instead.
Pros and cons
- Not sized for the biggest game fish, which need a belt covering the thighs
