Overview

The Rockville MS12LW is a 12 inch subwoofer rated at 2800 watts, finished in white, with powerline connectivity and a 15 lb build. It's positioned as a higher-output single-driver subwoofer rather than a compact unit.

A powerline connection is unusual for a subwoofer and typically points to a wireless transmission setup that runs signal over household electrical wiring rather than a direct speaker cable. The white finish is a departure from the black cabinets most subwoofers use, worth noting for anyone matching room decor. At 2800 watts, that figure most likely reflects peak rather than continuous output, as is common in subwoofer power ratings.

Who it's for

Fits buyers wanting a 12 inch subwoofer in white rather than the standard black cabinet, particularly where a powerline wireless connection simplifies placement away from the receiver. Not for anyone needing a compact or lightweight unit, since it weighs 15 lbs.

Pros and cons

Pros

12 inch driver for deep bass
Powerline connection avoids running long speaker cable
White finish is an alternative to standard black

Cons

At 15 lbs it's not a compact unit
2800 watt figure likely reflects peak, not continuous, power

Performance notes

The 12 inch driver and 2800 watt rating point to a subwoofer built for deep, high-output bass, though power figures like this typically describe peak rather than sustained output. The powerline connectivity suggests it links to a source over household wiring rather than a direct speaker cable run.
