Overview
This oaskys mattress pad is a fitted topper with down alternative fill and a microfiber cover, built to soften a queen mattress up to 21 inches deep. Four elastic anchor bands and a 360 degree skirt keep it in place through the night.
The fill is synthetic, not real down, so expect loft and softness rather than the drape of natural down. Its main job is adding cushion to a mattress that has gone firm, not changing support or edge structure. The cover is described as breathable microfiber rather than any named cooling fabric.
- Down alternative fill for a soft top layer
- Fits mattresses 8 to 21 inches deep
- 360 degree elastic skirt with 4 anchor bands
- Machine washable, tumble dry low
Who it's for
Suits sleepers on a firm queen mattress who want a softer surface without buying a new one, including back, side and stomach sleepers. Not a fit for anyone who wants a topper with true down fill or one that adds firm support.
Pros and cons
- Down alternative fill without animal products
- Deep pocket fits mattresses up to 21 inches
- Elastic skirt and anchor bands resist slipping
- Machine washable for easy care
- Softens a mattress but adds no support
- No named cooling technology beyond a breathable cover
Performance notes
The down alternative fill traps air for loft while the microfiber top layer is meant to breathe rather than sleep hot. Four anchor bands and an all around elastic skirt hold the pad to mattresses up to 21 inches thick so it should not bunch or slide during normal use.
