Overview
The Mischief Maker is a real wood slingshot built for young kids, shooting only soft foam balls rather than stones or steel ammo. It ships with 4 foam balls and a drawstring bag for storage, and the wood body is screen printed in color on both sides.
This is a toy version of a classic shape, not a hunting slingshot: the pegs and foam handle are built to hold a foam ball, not a pouch for rocks.
- Real wood construction with water based varnish
- Launches only soft foam balls, included qty 4
- Drawstring bag for storage and travel
- Built for kids ages 4 and up
Who it's for
Fits parents and grandparents looking for a screen-free backyard toy for a young child, roughly ages 4 to 12. Older kids or anyone wanting real aiming precision will likely find it too soft and imprecise to hold their interest.
Pros and cons
- Real wood body with a screen printed finish
- Foam balls are safe for indoor use
- Comes with a storage bag and 4 extra balls
- Simple enough for a 4 year old to pick up
- Accuracy is weak by design
- A few buyers felt it is pricey for a foam toy
- Older kids may lose interest quickly
Performance notes
The foam handle and launch pegs hold the ball in place until release, and the maker claims flights over 25 feet.
