Overview
Not just a chess table, this pedestal set plays three games on one square top. The reversible top lifts out to reveal a recessed chess and checkers field, with backgammon on the other side, and two drawers hold the pieces.
The set includes two padded chairs with black leatherette upholstery, so it is ready to play once assembled. It also works as a small coffee table. Birch hardwood and veneers carry a mahogany finish.
Who it's for
Game night families and chess fans who want a table, chairs and pieces in one purchase. Those with a small apartment, or who want a foldable table, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Chess, checkers and backgammon in one
- Two padded arm chairs included
- Two storage drawers
- Complete game pieces included
- Heavy furniture piece
- Wipe-dry care only
Performance notes
Lifting the reversible top gives access to the playing field below, and flipping it presents the other surface. The pedestal base gives the table a compact footprint. The drawers store the pieces so nothing is lost.
