Overview
A floating foam body gives each oversized Big Joe noodle its buoyancy, and the fun-shaped patterns also suit craft projects. The listing sells them as a multi-pack in assorted shapes for the pool or a lake.
The oversized shape and the extra DIY uses are the reasons to look at this pack over a standard noodle. The weak spot is the contradictory counts in the listing and the lack of a stated flotation standard.
Who it's for
A pool party, a camp or a swim class with many kids needs a bundle of floating foam like this. Anyone who needs rescue-grade flotation should not rely on a noodle, because the listing calls it only a buoyancy aid.
Pros and cons
- Oversized foam body
- Assorted fun-shaped patterns
- Usable for DIY projects
- Stated weight capacity
- Included components field says one noodle
- Weight is for the whole pack unclear
- Flotation rating not detailed
Performance notes
Foam is full of trapped air, which is what makes a noodle float and support a swimmer's arms or legs. Support is limited by the stated weight capacity, and a noodle assists floating but does not replace a life jacket.
