Overview
A 6 ft indoor extension cord rated for 13 amps at 125 volts, using a standard 3-prong grounded plug, sized for everyday reach around a room rather than long outdoor runs.
This is a generic, no-frills grounded extension cord: one 3-prong plug in, one 3-prong outlet out, 16 AWG wire, and a 6 ft length. Its high review count and repeat-purchase volume reflect the fact that it does this one job cheaply for electronics, tools, and household devices without added features like USB ports or a flat plug.
- 6 ft length
- 13 amps / 125 volts
- 16 AWG grounded cord
- Single 3-prong outlet
Who it's for
Fits anyone who just needs a short, grounded extension for a lamp, fan, printer, or similar indoor device near a wall outlet. Not built for outdoor use or heavy shop equipment, since it is a 6 ft, 13A indoor cord with no weatherproofing.
Pros and cons
- Grounded 3-prong plug for devices that need it
- 16 AWG cord handles typical indoor loads
- Accepts both 2-prong and 3-prong device plugs
- Only one outlet at the end
- 6 ft length limits reach
- Indoor use only
Performance notes
At 16 AWG and 13A/125V, the cord handles typical indoor electronics and small appliances, and the single 3-prong outlet accepts both 2-prong and 3-prong device plugs. It is not rated for outdoor or wet locations, so it should stay indoors.
