Salter 9137 Glass Analyser Body Fat Scale

Overview

The Salter 9137 SVWH3R is a glass platform bathroom scale with an LCD display, reading in both metric and imperial units, with a stated accuracy of 0.2 kg and a weight capacity of 180 lb. It appears here under Vitamins and Supplements, but it is a personal scale, not a supplement.

Salter is a UK based brand with a long history in weighing equipment, and this model uses a glass platform, a common design for bathroom scales because it is easy to wipe clean. The silver and white color scheme suggests a compact, minimalist bathroom design rather than a heavy duty platform scale.

• LCD digital display
• Reads in metric and imperial
• 180 lb weight capacity
• Glass platform in silver and white

Who it's for

Suits anyone wanting a home bathroom scale with dual unit display, up to a 180 lb capacity. Not intended for use beyond its stated weight limit, and the glass build means it should be handled with the usual care given to glass fixtures.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Digital bathroom scales like this use a load cell to measure weight and display it on an LCD screen, with the stated 0.2 kg accuracy giving a sense of how finely it reports changes. Battery power means no cords, but batteries will need replacing over time.
