Overview
OCEAN CAT's saltwater trolling lure ships as a six-piece pack of 6 inch crystal-head lures aimed at offshore trolling for marlin, tuna, mahi mahi, dolphin and wahoo.
Each lure pairs a crystal head with a lead-weighted body and rubber skirt, a combination built to run at trolling speed and depth rather than for casting. The listing notes a circle hook technique, which points toward how the lure is meant to be rigged.
- 6 inch crystal-head lures
- Pack of 6
- Lead-weighted, rubber-skirted body
- Aimed at marlin, tuna, mahi mahi, dolphin and wahoo
Who it's for
Offshore and big game trollers building out a spread will find a use for this six-pack. Inshore or light-tackle anglers have little reason to look at it.
Pros and cons
- Six lures per pack
- Lead-weighted head for trolling depth
- Targets several big game species at once
- No line or leader weight rating listed
- Unclear whether hooks are included or sold separately
Performance notes
The lead weighting gives the head enough mass to hold depth while trolling, and the rubber skirt adds movement behind the crystal head; the circle hook pairing noted in the listing suggests how it is meant to be rigged, though hooks themselves are not confirmed as included.
