Overview
The DEWALT DXV04T is a 4 gallon corded wet/dry vacuum with a 5 peak horsepower motor, built into a toolbox-shaped portable body. It runs on a standard 120V outlet and includes a 20 foot power cord.
Despite being filed under a generic Specialties category here, this is a shop vacuum designed for both wet and dry cleanup around the home, garage, or job site. Its fine-dust cartridge filter is meant to handle both fine debris and wet spills without a filter swap, and the toolbox-style handle makes it easy to carry to where the mess is.
- 4 gallon canister capacity
- 5 peak horsepower motor
- 90 CFM max airflow
- 3 year limited warranty
Who it's for
Suits homeowners, garage tinkerers, and job site crews who need a portable vacuum that can handle both dust and spills. Less suited to anyone needing a large-capacity vacuum for continuous, heavy-volume cleanup, given its 4 gallon canister.
Pros and cons
- Handles both wet and dry cleanup
- 20 foot power cord for reach
- Toolbox-style handle for portability
- Water-resistant on/off switch
- 4 gallon canister limits capacity for large jobs
- Corded, so it needs an outlet nearby
Performance notes
The 5 peak horsepower motor delivers up to 90 CFM of airflow and 50 inches of water lift, enough suction for typical garage and shop debris along with wet spills. A 7 foot hose and 20 foot power cord give it decent working reach, and the fine-dust cartridge filter is built to handle both fine dry particles and wet material without needing a separate filter for each.
