Overview
Chilling beer, wine and champagne for a party starts with this oval stainless tub, which is filled with ice and drinks and carried by its handles. The listing calls it a galvanized metal ice and drink bucket.
Size is the reason to look at it: a large oval shape holds a mix of bottles and cans with ice around them. Simplicity is also the limit, since the listing mentions only the handles as extras.
Who it's for
Hosts of backyard parties, tailgates and family gatherings who ice bottles in one place get a roomy, portable tub. Caterers who need an elevated stand, or anyone wanting a lidded cooler for transport, should look at a different setup.
Pros and cons
- Stainless steel body
- Lightweight for its size
- Plain tub without accessories
- Insulation not listed
- Not a lidded cooler
Performance notes
Ice and drinks share one basin, so the metal walls conduct the cold and the volume sets how long the ice lasts before it melts. With no insulation listed, melt rate depends on the amount of ice and the surrounding heat. Handles help move the tub, but a full tub of ice and drinks gets heavy.
