Overview
The Worx WX530L is a battery powered saw running on a 20 volt system, with a 6.5 inch cutting capacity and a high speed steel blade.
Worx positions its 20 volt tools as the compact, lighter weight end of the cordless spectrum, and the 3.99 pound weight and 36 watt motor here fit that pattern more than a heavy duty job site saw. The 6.5 inch cutting capacity places it in compact saw territory rather than a full size framing saw.
- 20 volt battery powered saw
- 3600 RPM, 36 watt motor
- 6.5 inch cutting capacity
- 3.99 pounds
Who it's for
Works for someone doing light cutting tasks around the house or on smaller trim and board work, where a 3.99 pound saw is easy to control one handed. Less suited to a contractor cutting thick lumber all day, since the 36 watt motor and 6.5 inch capacity are modest next to corded or larger battery saws.
Pros and cons
- Light at 3.99 pounds for one handed use
- 3600 RPM motor suited to fast, light cuts
- 20 volt battery platform
- 36 watt motor limits it to lighter material
- No purchases recorded in the past month
Performance notes
Running at 3600 RPM off a 20 volt battery with a 36 watt motor, this saw is built for speed on light material rather than torque through thick stock. The high speed steel blade and 6.5 inch capacity suggest it handles boards and trim well but is not sized for dimensional lumber the way a full size circular saw is. At 3.99 pounds it stays maneuverable for one handed cuts.
