Overview
The Dracarys 8541979147 is a stone outdoor cooker accessory weighing 6.9 lb, sold under Dracarys' outdoor cooking line for use alongside a compatible cooker.
Dracarys is known for pizza style outdoor cookers, and a stone piece this size reads as a baking surface rather than a grate or tool.
- Stone material
- 6.9 lb weight
- Dracarys model 8541979147
- Built for outdoor cooker use
Who it's for
Suits outdoor cooks running a pizza style cooker who want a stone surface for baking. Not a fit for standard charcoal or gas grilling, where a metal grate does the job instead.
Pros and cons
- Stone evens out heat for baking
- Draws moisture from dough for a crisper base
- 6.9 lb is light enough to lift easily
- No dimensions listed to confirm fit with a cooker
- Stone can crack under rapid temperature swings
- Heavier than composite baking surfaces
Performance notes
Stone surfaces even out heat and pull moisture from dough, which is why they are common in pizza style outdoor cookers, giving a crisper base than a metal pan would. Stone is also prone to cracking if it is heated or cooled too fast, so gradual preheating matters more here than with metal cookware.
