Overview
A full array LED backlight spreads light behind the whole screen of this VIZIO TV, aiming for even brightness from edge to center. It runs the SmartCast system over Wi-Fi, takes cable boxes and consoles through HDMI, and stands on the included stand or a VESA wall bracket.
Even backlighting and a tuner for free antenna channels make it a simple secondary screen. Resolution is the limit: standard HD looks soft on large content at close range, and the app support beyond VIZIO's own platform is not spelled out.
Who it's for
Students and households adding a compact screen for news, antenna channels or a cable box get a simple setup. Viewers expecting sharp ultra HD detail or a large picture should look at a bigger, higher resolution set.
Pros and cons
- Full array LED backlight
- Antenna tuner built in
- Wi-Fi with SmartCast platform
- Component inputs for older devices
- Only standard HD resolution
- Only 2 HDMI ports
- Streaming app list not detailed
- Dimensions not listed
Performance notes
Picture uniformity comes from LEDs placed behind the entire panel rather than along one edge. Detail is capped by the HD resolution, so the set suits closer seating where pixels are less visible. Motion runs at the standard refresh rate.
