Best forYou want the ball-lock homebrew kegerator with a stainless steel door instead of black

Worth choosing over the black-door version mainly for the stainless finish, since the dispensing hardware and capacity are identical.

Overview

This single-faucet homebrew kegerator pairs a black cabinet with a stainless steel, field-reversible door and matching guard rail. Like other Kegco ball-lock models it taps Cornelius-style homebrew kegs, not commercial D-system kegs, and ships complete with CO2 tank and regulator.

The stainless door is the main difference from Kegco's all-black HBK163B-1: same 5.8 cu ft cabinet, same ball-lock tapping kit, same temperature range, just a different finish for a bar or kitchen where stainless fits the rest of the equipment. Because the coupler set is ball-lock only, it is built for kegging your own beer rather than tapping a store-bought domestic keg.

  • Field-reversible stainless steel door
  • 32-75 F temperature range
  • CSA certified to NSF/ANSI 7
  • 35.875 x 24.375 x 24 inch cabinet

Who it's for

Homebrewers and small commercial spaces that want a stainless-fronted unit for Cornelius kegs. It is not the right choice for tapping a standard Coors or Bud Light keg, which uses a D-system coupler this kit does not include.

Strengths and trade-offs

Drawn from this product's published specifications.

What stands out
  • Stainless steel door with matching guard rail
  • Full ball-lock tapping kit and CO2 tank included
  • 5.8 cu ft interior fits one full keg or multiple small kegs
  • Casters for repositioning
What to check first
  • Ball-lock only, will not tap a commercial D-system keg
  • Stainless door does not extend to the full cabinet

Performance notes

Temperature is set with push-button controls and an LED readout across a 32 to 75 F range, wide enough to serve cold beer or run a fermentation in the same cabinet. An air-cooled draft tower and fan-forced cooling keep the line and interior temperature steady.
