Overview
Nike built the Alpha Menace Pro as a mid-cut football cleat that locks the foot down with laces and a hook-and-loop strap. A TPU propulsion plate adds support and grip, while Phylon foam cushions each step.
The strap and wrap-around tongue give a secure fit for hard cuts. Without water resistance, the upper takes on water on wet fields.
Who it's for
Linemen and skill players wanting ankle-area security and traction. Soccer players should look for soccer-specific studs.
Pros and cons
- Secure fit with strap
- No top-of-foot seams
- Light Phylon cushioning
- TPU plate for stability
- Not water resistant
- Strap adds setup time
Performance notes
The TPU plate spreads push-off force across the foot and anchors studs for traction on turns. The strap pulls the upper tight across the midfoot, which cuts foot slide during lateral moves.
