Overview
Sea-Monkeys packs the Ocean Zoo Neon into a small plastic tank with a water purifier, a food packet and the eggs. It is a one-tank kit meant for indoor observation, and the listing names assorted colors.
A hands-on look at tiny animals is the reason to buy, and everything needed to start is listed in the box. What the listing leaves out is any detail on care timing, hatch time or what the creatures look like.
Who it's for
Kids at the listed age who enjoy watching something grow and have an adult to help with setup. Families wanting a long-term aquarium or instant results should look at a different kind of pet.
Pros and cons
- Tank, eggs and food packet included
- Water purifier included
- Small desk-friendly size
- Observation-focused learning toy
- Care schedule not described
- Short warranty period
- Small tank only
Performance notes
The eggs hatch in treated water, so the purifier and the food packet in the box are what give the kit a chance to work. Care detail such as feeding timing comes from the instructions that ship, since the listing gives none.
