Martin Authentic MA140 SP 80/20 Bronze Light Strings 3 Pack

Overview

Practice rooms and gig bags both benefit from spares, and this bundle stocks three sets of Martin light gauge strings in bronze. They are made for steel-string acoustic guitars in a light gauge that is easy on the fingers.

Buying three sets at once means string changes happen on schedule rather than when a string breaks. Light gauge is easy on the fingers. The listing names only the alloy and gauge range, with no word on coating or individual gauges.

Who it's for

Weekly players and teachers restringing several guitars get a stockpile of one familiar set. Owners of nylon-string guitars should look for classical strings.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Tone comes from the bronze wrap, which gives a bright sound when new and mellows as the strings age. Light gauge means lower tension, so notes press down easily but project less than heavier sets. No coating is listed, so plan on regular changes.
