ciao! Baby Portable High Chair

Overview

The ciao! HB2017 is a nylon high chair rated for up to 35 pounds and weighing just 7.4 pounds, with folded dimensions of 23 inches deep, 23 inches wide and 32 inches tall.

Nylon construction and a 7.4 pound weight put this in a different category from the metal framed high chairs elsewhere in this batch, built for folding down and carrying rather than staying anchored in one spot. The 35 pound weight capacity covers roughly the baby stage before a toddler needs a heavier duty chair, matching the listed baby age range. Genuinely portable high chairs like this typically trade some sturdiness for the light weight, a tradeoff the data does not directly measure.

• 7.4 pound item weight
• 35 pound weight capacity
• Nylon construction

Who it's for

Suited to parents who need a high chair light enough to fold up and take along, whether to a relative's house, on a trip or just for storage in a small space. Less suited to anyone whose child is closer to the 35 pound limit and needs a chair with more room to grow.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

Nylon fabric over a light frame is what gets this chair down to 7.4 pounds, far lighter than the metal and EVA options built for higher weight capacities. The 35 pound limit and baby specific age range mean it is sized for a shorter window of use than a toddler rated chair. Its 23 by 23 by 32 inch dimensions describe the set up size, useful for checking it fits where it will be used.
