Overview
Not a quilt or a decorative throw, the Baloo is a weighted blanket built for adults, wrapped in a cotton shell with a cotton lining. Its weight rests across the body to add pressure, and the whole blanket goes in the washing machine.
Cotton inside and out makes for a breathable weighted blanket, which helps sleepers who overheat under heavier fabrics. The specs name cotton as the fill while the title mentions glass microbeads, so the weighting material is not fully clear.
Who it's for
Warm sleepers who want pressure at night without extra heat are the target here. Children and anyone unsure about sleeping under a heavy blanket should not buy this adult weight.
Pros and cons
- Cotton shell, lining and fill
- Described as breathable
- Machine washable at home
- Neutral white color
- Weighting material not clearly listed
- Heavy to lift in and out of washer
- Single weight option on this listing
Performance notes
Pressure comes from the blanket's weight spread over its surface, so comfort depends on whether that weight suits the sleeper's body. Cotton lets air and moisture pass more freely than polyester, which governs how warm it feels through the night.

Frequently asked questions
What comes with the Baloo weighted blanket?
One weighted blanket, per the listing. No separate duvet cover is mentioned, so the cotton blanket itself is what goes in the wash.
Can the Baloo weighted blanket go in the dryer?
The care listing says machine wash. The title also calls it dryer safe, but no drying settings are given, so a low setting is the cautious choice.
Is the Baloo weighted blanket meant for children?
No. The age range on the listing is adult.
What is inside the Baloo weighted blanket?
The specs list cotton for the exterior, lining and fill. The title mentions glass microbead fill, so the two sources disagree on the weighting material.
