Overview
The AS118-2 is an air compressor powered tool from LE, weighing about 2.18 pounds. The listing does not specify the exact tool type or air pressure requirements beyond noting it runs on compressed air.
Being air compressor powered means the AS118-2 needs a shop compressor and hose to run rather than a battery or cord, which typically buys more sustained power for the tool's size at the cost of needing that compressor on hand. At just over 2 pounds, it is light enough for extended handheld use.
- Air compressor powered
- About 2.18 pound weight
Who it's for
Fits shops or garages already set up with an air compressor and hose lines, where pneumatic tools are the norm. Not a fit if you do not have a compressor on hand, since this tool cannot run on battery or mains power.
Pros and cons
- Light at about 2.18 pounds for handheld use
- No battery to charge or cord to manage
- Requires a separate air compressor to operate
- Listing does not specify air pressure requirements
Performance notes
Pneumatic tools like this one draw their power from compressed air rather than an internal motor, which generally keeps the tool itself light, at 2.18 pounds here, while the compressor does the heavy lifting. That trade-off means output depends on your compressor's pressure and volume rather than a built-in battery or cord.
