Overview
Pureplus builds this aftermarket cartridge around natural coconut activated carbon and lead-free material, to replace the original filter in the refrigerators named in its compatibility list. The set holds three cartridges, so two stay in reserve.
A multi-pack of cartridges with a testing certification suits households that change filters on a schedule and want spares on the shelf. The limits are a fit that depends on a long model list and no stated replacement interval or contaminant claims.
Who it's for
Households with a listed LG refrigerator that replace the water filter regularly and prefer to buy several at once. Owners of other brands, or anyone wanting a stated filter life or contaminant list, should confirm those details first.
Pros and cons
- Three cartridges in one set
- Coconut carbon filtration media
- ANSI testing listed
- Fits only the listed models
- Replacement interval not listed
- Aftermarket, not the LG original
- Contaminants removed not specified
Performance notes
Water passes through the carbon block, where activated carbon traps chlorine taste and odor compounds. Filter life depends on household water quality and usage, and a clogged cartridge reduces flow at the dispenser. Seating the cartridge fully into the housing matters for a leak-free fit.
