Overview
The Britax E1C269H is a forward-facing car seat rated to 120 pounds, installed with the vehicle's seat belt, built for the kid age range rather than infants or toddlers just starting out.
A 120 pound capacity is high for a car seat and points to a seat meant to carry an older child well beyond the harnessed toddler stage, likely into booster-style use. Installation is listed as seat belt only, without a latch option, which is typical once a seat is rated for heavier children.
- 120 pound weight capacity
- Forward-facing orientation
- Seat belt installation
Who it's for
Parents of an older child who has outgrown a standard harnessed seat and needs forward-facing coverage up to 120 pounds. Not a fit for rear-facing infants.
Pros and cons
- 120 pound weight capacity covers an extended age range
- Forward-facing design suits older children
- Seat belt only installation, no latch option listed
- Not for infants or rear-facing use
Performance notes
The foam and fabric build cushions impact while the seat belt-only installation reflects its higher weight rating, since latch anchors in most vehicles are not certified for children at the upper end of this range.
