Overview
Weight is the standout spec on the 0290FHJN, an 8.03 pound Crescent cutter that reads like a long-handled bolt or cable cutter built for leverage rather than a compact hand tool.
No handle length, jaw capacity, or material rating appears in the spec sheet, so the weight alone is what points toward a longer-handled design built for tougher material. Buyers who need an exact cutting capacity should check the listing images directly rather than relying on the spec blob.
- 8.03 pound weight
- Crescent brand
- Model 0290FHJN
- Listed under Tools Cutters
Who it's for
Fits anyone who needs a heavier cutter with the leverage extra weight provides for bolts, wire, or similar stock, and does not need a lightweight or pocket-sized tool. Not the pick for anyone needing exact jaw capacity confirmed before ordering, since that figure is missing here.
Pros and cons
- Weight suggests strong leverage for tougher material
- No jaw capacity or handle length listed
- No material rating specified
Performance notes
At just over 8 pounds, the tool carries more mass than a compact cutter, which in this category usually means longer handles doing the work of multiplying hand force onto the jaw.
