Overview
An outdoor living space with a gas supply can take this zero clearance insert, which burns gas across a sloped stainless H-burner under a bed of reflective crystal glass. The firebox panels are mirror finish stainless and a drain tray is included.
Reflective crystal glass and mirror finish panels give a bright flame display, and the stainless parts are built for outdoor exposure. A propane conversion kit is in the box. The limitation is paperwork: the power source and weight rows disagree with the copy, and some assembly is needed.
Who it's for
Builders of outdoor fireplaces with a gas supply and a prepared opening will use the zero clearance insert. The battery only assists the igniter, and the gas valve is manual. Those who want a log look, or a ready-to-run freestanding unit, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Stainless steel construction
- Reflective crystal glass media
- Propane conversion kit included
- Vent-free, no chimney
- Weight and power rows conflict
- Some assembly required
- Manual gas control only
Performance notes
Gas feeds the sloped H-burner and the manual valve sets the flame, with a battery-assisted piezo igniter to light it. The crystal glass reflects the flame, and the mirror finish panels repeat it on every side. A stainless draw screen barrier is listed, along with a drain tray to direct moisture.
