Overview
An 8 piece chisel set from brand S, model 500, weighing 16 ounces total. The listed 21 x 9 x 8 inch dimensions are far larger than a chisel blade and most plausibly describe the packaging.
At 16 ounces across 8 pieces, individual chisels here would be quite light, consistent with a general-purpose starter set. The large listed dimensions are not clearly tied to a single chisel, so they are not used to judge blade size here.
- 8 piece chisel set
- 16 ounces total weight
- Brand S, model 500
Who it's for
Suited to buyers who want a range of chisel sizes covered in one set rather than buying chisels individually. Not the pick if you need one heavy-duty chisel of a known blade width.
Pros and cons
- 8 pieces cover a range of chisel sizes in one set
- Light total weight for easy handling
- Individual blade widths are not listed
- Large case dimensions are not broken down by piece
Performance notes
Spreading 16 ounces of steel across 8 pieces keeps individual chisels light, favoring control on fine work over the leverage needed for heavy chopping.
