Overview
Jobsites and garage benches without a free outlet are where the P590 earns its place, cutting on battery power in a handheld body.
Cord-free cutting from a shared battery is the reason to buy it if your shop already runs on the same pack. Detail is the weak spot: the bullets and description belong to an unrelated replacement parts brand, and the warranty period is short.
Who it's for
Suited to remodelers and maintenance crews who move between rooms or sites and already carry compatible batteries. Shop owners who want a floor or bench band saw should look at stationary models.
Pros and cons
- Cordless, no outlet needed
- Brushless listed in specs
- Runs on a shared battery platform
- Alloy steel blade
- Battery and charger sold separately
- Only a short limited warranty
- Bullets describe unrelated replacement parts
- Metal cutting not listed
Performance notes
Cutting rate depends on the listed band speed and on battery charge, and the tooth count of the blade decides whether the cut is fine or coarse. Feeding gently lets the blade do the work instead of stalling the motor.
