Overview
Evenflo's TS101112579 is built for infants, with a 55 pound weight capacity and a polyester cover, giving it room to grow with a child well past the newborn stage.
At 30.9 pounds the seat itself is on the heavier side, which typically means a sturdier shell and base rather than a seat meant to be carried around often. Evenflo is an established car seat maker, though this listing does not specify convertible modes or crash-test ratings beyond the standard capacity figures.

Who it's for
Fits parents wanting a car seat that lasts from infancy through a higher weight limit than typical infant-only seats, likely installed and left in place rather than moved between cars. Parents wanting the lightest, most portable seat for frequent transfers should look elsewhere given the 30.9 pound weight.
Pros and cons
- 55 pound weight capacity extends usable years
- Polyester cover for easy wiping
- 30.9 pounds makes it heavy to move between vehicles
- No installation type or convertible mode listed
Performance notes
The 55 pound weight capacity extends usable life well beyond the newborn stage, while the polyester cover is a standard, wipeable fabric choice for car seats. The 30.9 pound seat weight reflects a more substantial shell, which generally comes with tradeoffs in portability for stability.
