Overview
Not a blender or a drink mixer, this aqua tabletop machine shaves ordinary ice cubes into snow for cones and iced treats. Ice goes in the top, the lid is secured, and precision-cut stainless steel blades turn the cubes into snow.
Working from ordinary freezer cubes means no special molds or ice blocks are needed before a summer treat. Only one cup comes with it, no syrup is included, and the listing gives no wattage or ice capacity.
Who it's for
Households with kids who want quick summer treats at the kitchen table will find it simple to run. Hosts serving big groups, or anyone making blended drinks, should choose a larger shaver or a blender.
Pros and cons
- Uses ordinary ice cubes, no molds
- Stainless steel cutting blades
- Simple fill, lid and run operation
- Reusable cup cuts paper waste
- Only one serving cup included
- Ice capacity and wattage not listed
- No syrups or flavorings included
Performance notes
Shave quality depends on the blades meeting firm, frozen cubes, so ice straight from the freezer gives finer snow than half melted cubes. Filling the top and securing the lid feeds the ice down to the blades.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Nostalgia snow cone machine need special ice?
No. The description says it turns regular ice cubes into frozen treats. Fill the top with cubes, secure the lid and run it.
Can the Nostalgia shaved ice machine make blended slushies?
It shaves ice rather than blending drinks. Despite the slushie wording in the title, the listing describes only blades that turn cubes into shaved ice.
